Why is this relevant for the skin?The fluid of a young skin in good condition is approximately pH5. It is like a sweet apple.
How does Indian Infusion create this in skin care?By using a combination of plant and other substances, which have a pH close to that of a skin in good condition.
The oils and juices of fruit produce an excellent pH as do a lot of other plant ingredients.
Why does Indian Infusion think that these fruity ingredients are better than a chemical acid?The plants that are acidic are soft acids, e.g., apples, oranges, grapefruit and lemons - all edible. Even lemon, which is very sour - with a pH of 1,5 can be drunk. A chemical acid of the same pH would be fatal if ingested. Plant acids are very effective but also soft and acceptable to the body.
Does Indian Infusion use detergents for Cleansing?No - because a detergent is extremely alkaline (often with a pH of 11 or 12) which creates the most critical imbalance of the dermis. If the skin's fluid becomes alkaline, proper skin function is unable to take place. Skin cells are retained by the skin, skin proteins are trapped, dry flakey surface skin appears and spots develop beneath them. This is a mess.
